Professor Jay Isn’t Sure Whether HBC Comeback Is Imminent

One of the most popular Hip-Hop groups in Tanzania was, without a doubt, HBC (Hard Blasterz Crew) which had it’s head quarters in East Upanga neighborhood. It’s the group that later championed the change in Tanzania’s new generation music when their album, Funga Kazi, carried a single such as Chemsha Bongo performed by Professor Jay [then Nigga Jay].

When a photo surfaced [and posted by Professor Jay on his social media accounts] showing Professor Jay, Terry and Big Willy at Mwanalizombe Studio [owned by Professor Jay] news went wild and fast online that finally…HBC was coming back.

I am one of the folks that got excited. I have known these fellas since then when a single car [pick-up] on a street could carry all of us to Coco Beach for a fun filled Sunday evenings. It was I almost got assaulted by noise.

But when I approached Professor Jay for HBC comeback confirmation, he had a different story. He is not sure. May be it’s a marketing and promotion stunt [you keep the anticipation as high as possible for as long as necessary]. As a fan, I am waiting. I know you are waiting too. Let’s see
