President Uhuru Kenyatta arrived in New Delhi, India, on Tuesday to
a warm welcome and reception by Indians.
Apart from the official reception by
his host as the Head of State and President of the Republic of Kenya, Uhuru was
also treated to a special traditional welcome by two hot Indian ladies who made
him ‘feel at home’.
One of the ladies gave the President a special
red mark on his forehead known as ‘bindu’. The mark is typical of Indians and
is regarded as a point of energy that strengthens concentration in a person.
According to the Indian tradition and
culture, the red dot also represents the third eye and that is why it is placed
at the “seat of wisdom” – the place between the two human eyes.
The other lady threw a special Indian
yellow saffron scarf around Uhuru’s neck leaving him feeling more at home.
Uhuru loved the treatment from the
Indian ladies because it is very rare to get such treatment from Kenyan women.
